PROPOSED JOB PROFILE FOR THE POST OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (TENDER GROUP)

Pay Scale : Rs. 62,000-80000 (IDA) i.e. E9 in TCIL
Job Profile :
Ø Technology tracking and to be aware of technological changes in the Telecom field and to identify suitable areas for TCIL’s diversification of business.
Ø Business development in the Telecom area particularly backbone networks, and new upcoming areas.
Ø Business development and execution of turnkey project in optical fiber system and Microwave communications.
Ø Development & Upgradation of skills of TCIL’s manpower in the related technologies and keeping abreast of technology trends.
Ø Identification of technology partners in the related technology areas for bidding and execution of projects.
Ø International market Analysis for Tendering & Execution.
Ø Implementation of Project Management tools.
Ø Preparation of National and International Tenders.
Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Communications.
Desirable :
Ø Master’s Degree in Engineering in the relevant field of Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Communications.
Ø MBA or its equivalent post Graduate Diploma in Management from a recognized Institute.
Ø SAG Officer of ITS Group A of DOT/BSNL/MTNL in the pay scale of Rs. 37400-67000 (CDA) with grade pay of Rs. 10,000/- or equivalent officers absorbed in IDA pay scale having minimum experience of 10 years in the field of Telecom Business developments and execution of transmission projects.
Or
Ø Group General Managers of TCIL and equivalent officers in other PSUs working in the pay scale of Rs. 37400-67000 (CDA) / Rs. 51300-73000 (IDA) having at least 10 years experience in the field of Business developments and execution of transmission projects.
Or
Ø Management executives having experience of minimum 20 years in reputed non-Governmental organizations out of which at least 10 years experience in the field of Telecom Business developments and execution of transmission projects and two years should be as head of Independent Business units. They should have proven track record of business acquisition and project execution in the fields of Telecom. The last package drawn should not be less than Rs. 20 lakhs per annum in a company having annual turnover of more than Rs. 100 crores.
Maximum Age: 55 years for external candidates and one year relaxation for internal candidates as on 31.03.2011.
