R.K. Upadhyay Shri Rakesh Kumar Upadhyay is an officer of 1975 Batch of Indian Telecom Services. He obtained B.Tech (Electronics) Degree from I.T. Banaras Hindu University in 1974 and MBA (Marketing Management) degree from Indira Gandhi Open University. He is also a graduate of Defence Staff Services College (DSSC) Wellington and was awarded M.Sc (D.S.) Degree by Madras University. He has successfully worked in Department of Telecommunications from August 1975 to July 1996 in the areas of Planning, Installation and Commissioning, Commercial administration and operations. While on deputation to TCIL during October 1996 to August 1999, he successfully worked in the foreign projects as Project Director, Sana’a and General Manager, Yemen. After a stint from Jan.’2000 to Jun.’2003 in BSNL as General Manager Jammu & Kashmir Telecom Circle he joined TCIL again on deputation in June 2003. After joining TCIL, he successfully worked as a Chief Project Director, Algeria, Group General Manager (New Technology) and Executive Director (Project Monitoring) and other important assignments. He has got rich experience in the fields of Planning, Projects, Operation and Business Development. He took the charge of Director (Projects) w.e.f. 1st Nov.’2005 and subsequently took the charge of Chairman and Managing Director on 1st March 2007.
Vinod Kumar Sharma Shri Vinod Kumar Sharma is an officer of 1975 Batch of Indian Telecom Service. He graduated in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Electronics from Delhi College of Engineering in 1975. He completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (MBA) from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon in 1989. He has more than 30 years experience in Department of Telecommunications, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited and Telecommunications Consultants India Limited. He has worked in managerial positions in almost all fields of Telecom Service provision like equipment installation, project management, operation & maintenance, business development and customer service. Before joining as Director (Projects) on 9th July, 2007, he was Executive Director (Transmission & Wireless Technology) in TCIL.

Shri K B
Batra is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Fellow
Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
and Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He is
also having Diploma in Management and Diploma in
Marketing. He has more than 34 years experience in
reputed Manufacturing, Mining, Processing, Trading,
Consultancy, Engineering and Contracting companies. He
has worked with Central, State PSUs and with reputed
Chartered Accountants firms. He has vast experience in
funds management, investment appraisal, lease financing,
budget and budgetary controls, taxation, risk
management, management of foreign exchange, dealing with
multilateral agencies, Exchange Control Authorities and
financial institutions. He has wide experience of BOT
Projects, formulation of systems and procedure for
Management Accounting and reporting, financial
evaluation of the projects. He played very important
role in formation of JVCs in India and abroad and their
further business developments. Before taking over the
charge of Director (Finance) from 01.01.2008, he was
holding the post of Executive Director (F&C) in TCIL.
Vimal Wakhlu
Sh. Vimal Wakhlu is
a B.E. from REC Srinagar 1977 and MBA Marketing from
IGNOU. He has been actively involved in the activities of IETE, particularly the Mumbai Chapter and has held positions of Hon. Treasurer, Secretary and Vice Chairman. He has been a Visiting faculty on Advanced Mobile Communications systems, and Business of Telecom Management. He is also a Director on Boards of TTL (Tamil Telecommunications Limited) and TBL International, joint venture companies of TCIL. Before taking over as Director Technical on 1st October 2009, he was working as Executive Director (TX) in TCIL .
P.K.Sinha
Sh.
P.K. Sinha who holds an outstanding academic record, is a
Gold Medallist in B.Com. (Hons.) and has done his Masters
in both Commerce and Arts- M.Com. & M.A. (Socio.)
respectively. He topped the University in LL.B.
Examination. He is also having a qualification in Masters
of Business Administration with specialization in Human
Resources.
R.N.Jha R.N. Jha, ITS (Staff Number 08238) 1984 batch: Date of Birth: 6th June, 1958; Did B-Tech in Radio Physics and Electronics from the University of Calcutta. Awarded Centre of Advanced Studies National Scholarship. Before joining the Department of Telecom as an ITS officer, worked as Senior Scientific Assistant National Test House, Kolkatta under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and as a Scientist B in explosives Research and Development Laboratory, DRDO, Pune.
Worked as Divisional
Engineer (Internal) in Ahmedabad Telecom
District and maintained internal as well as external plant
of Telecom Network on Navrangpura Telephone Exchange.
Worked as Divisional Engineer (Rural) and Divisional
Engineer(Planning) in Patna Telecom District and had been
responsible for planning the network and dimensioning the
exchanges. Worked as Deputy General Manager Central as
well as Jorbagh of MTNL Delhi and had been maintaining the
external plant network of one of the very important
locality of Delhi. Also worked as Director Engineering
and Network Planning in TEC and has been instrumental in
formulating National Switching and Routing Plan. Also,
forecasted the TAX capacity both of level I and Level II
of all the Secondary Switching Area including MTNL Bombay
and Delhi of the country. Further, worked as a Director
(OSP) and had been instrumental in formulating guidelines
for the registration of Call Centers under OSP
categories. As director (OSP) organized India Pavilion in
ITU Telecom Asia, Hong Kong in the year 2002, ITU Telecom
World in Geneva in 2003 and Supercomm in Atlanta in the
year 2003.
Presently,
working as Deputy Director General (International
Relations) and has been a nodal officer for coordinating
with the International Organizations like ITU, APT, CTO,
SAARC and bilateral issues with the other individual
countries. As an expert, represented the country in
APT Forum in the Seminar on Introduction and
Implementation of IMT- 2000. Also availed ITU fellowship
and participated in the Telecom Development Symposium
during ITU World 2003 event in Geneva. Also availed
APT fellowship in the year 2000. During the course
of work, visited countries like Thailand, USA, Hong Kong,
Switzerland, Turkey, Spain, Singapore and China.
Shri Brijesh Kumar, a Post Graduate in both Physics
and Economics, is a distinguished officer from the 1968
batch of the Indian Administrative Service and belongs to
Uttar Pradesh Cadre.
Abid Haleem
Dr. Abid Haleem is a
Professor of Mechanical Engineering and coordinator of
MBA (evening) programme at Faculty of Engineering
and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia(a Central
University by an act of Parliament),New Delhi, India.
Nominated on the panel of Independent director for
Public Sector Undertakings by Department of Public
Enterprises, 2008. He has been the Secretary to Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management. Presently, he is the Director, Global School of Innovation and Technology Management. He is also an editor for Global Journal of Flexible systems Mana-gement,He has extensive experience in coordinating different types of academic programs in the field of management and technology. He has visited various national and international ( USA , Australia) institute of repute.
