TCIL and M/s Plug Power Inc. organized a seminar on 4th April 2007 at Hotel Intercontinental; New Delhi on Hydrogen Fuel Cell based power plants for critical power backup requirements. The technology showcased in the seminar was a new generation, clean, reliable, environment friendly technology with wide application in the field of telecom and has potential to fill the gap in commercial power generation. Two products presented were GenCore, as backup power for urban areas and GenSys, a prime power plant for rural areas, both of which are of 5kw capacity with a provision for modular expansion. This technology is being seen as an alternate energy source in today’s power hungry world.
