As a result of strict adherence to quality standards, and committed manpower, TCIL has been involved with major Telecommunications project in Ethiopia. The projects varied from SDH/PDH Microwave transmission system, Inter Exchange SDH ransmission system, Digital UHF, VSAT Antennae system, Solar system for rural exchanges and outside plant cable network.

Project for SDH/PDH Microwave transmission system for Ethiopian Telecommunication Corporation (ETC) was undertaken in association with Itochu Corporation and Fujitsu of Japan. The work involved supply and supervision for establishing of SDH/PDH Microwave system at 27 locations on three routes. The work involved power plant, microwave towers including tower foundation management, tower erection, hoisting of feeder cables.

The project was completed in one year over the difficult terrain and as a result of this implementation ETC awarded other project involving supply & installation of SDH Microwave and fibre optic system along with the associated power plant, tower and antenna system for interconnecting 14 exchanges in Addis Abba area.
